+Five years ago, the sun went out.  Nobody knows how, but the creatures of the darkness swarmed the lands - vampires, werewolves, ghouls and demons - all intent on devouring and destroying anything in their path.  With civilisation all but lost to the shadows, survivors banded together and constructed a vertiable miracle: the Silversun.  This gigantic alchemical light, anchored in the surviving city of Last Hope, cast back the darkness and provides hope that humanity can overcome the darkness.
+With hope renewed, and faith in the Divine restored, adventurers now sally forth from Last Hope into the abandoned wilds of the world to find survivors, to bolster their home, and to slay the foul beasts that sought to destroy them.  Those that return also find the Desolate lands now twisted by the dark presences - both introducing new secrets to be found, and new horrors to be beared.
